I have recieved a few emails from meetup members saying that political Newspaper ads are the least effective in getting the message out! So should we continue or not?

You still haven't addressed this. What you have shown was created by a graphic designer in New Hampshire for the backside of a flyer. It's great if you want to use it for a newspaper Ad, but you are going to have to actually DO something to increase it to a 1/2 page ad, because it is NOT currently. Have you considered that, or are you just trying to see if you can raise the money to run the ad first, before you look for someone to work on the Ad?
2. What is your name and what Meetup Group to you belong to?
If you are wanting people to give you this money, sight unseen, at the very least you should tell us who you are and the Meetup Group you belong to, so we can check you out with your Meetup Organizer. There are all kinds of scam artists out there. How are we to know, you are not one?

also i updated ad prices and said that in my opinion a 1/4 page ad run more than once would be a bigger bang for the buck! and again Suggestions are welcome and WANTED! I really do not care if the ad shown was a flyer or not I thought it would make a good Newpaper ad! If anyone has any suggestions for something better i am all ears!

Finally, some information about who you are
I asked you several times to give us information about who you are and which meetup you belonged to. This is the first time you have been specific. Thank you. There are quite a few people named Dean in Texas, so that information alone was not too helpful.

I am looking for feedback
I am looking for feedback and ideas on the ad before we run it
I got that one as a start. I have the original High Resolution for it in psd and pdf format and it can easily be resized with quality. After speaking to the Dallas Morning News Rep, I think the biggest bang for the buck is going to be a 1/4 page add run on mutiple Sundays
Additionally we can save $500.00 or more per ad by having a non-profit company purchase the ad for us

Need more information
Specifically, which meetup are you in? Who is your Meetup organizer? Do they know you are trying to raise this money, anonymously?
If you are unwilling to provide more information about yourself, how are we to trust that you are not some kind of scam artist?

I think this is a great idea! Have you spoken to the other Texas groups about this? I am sure that some of there members will help pay for it.
PS: There are some people in Euless that want a meetup. Could you help them?

Ask them if they have a politcal ad special price. I used to sell ad space in Los Angeles and many papers do. Also, ask if they have a multi pickup rate (two or more days).

Ad Placement
The front section is the most read. For placement of the ad you should request far forward right hand side. Odd number pages jump out at the reader more. Most advertising agencies request this for their clients.
