NYS Civil Service Law §62 requires that “every person employed by the state or any of its civil divisions, except an employee in the labor class,…shall take and file” the following oath:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the constitution of the United States, and the constitution of the state of New York, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of ______________________, according to the best of my ability.
This oath “may be administered by any officer authorized to take the acknowledgment of the execution of a deed of real property, or by an officer in whose office the oath is required to be filed.”
Alternatively, in lieu of the oath administered by an officer, “an employee may comply with the requirements of [§62] by subscribing and filing the following statement:”
I do hereby pledge and declare that I will support the constitution of the United States and the constitution of the state of New York, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the position of ______________________, according to the best of my ability.
The oath or statement of every state employee must be filed in the office of the secretary of state. Every employee of a municipal corporation must file with the clerk thereof."
I'm a first generation
I'm a first generation american and my parents grand parents and everyone else also came here legally and fought in the wars. Spitzer is just one more politician showing his true colors and should have been gone a long time ago. Not just gas is ruining the economy but how in the world have we come to a point where rice and other produce are in high demand and costing a lot of money. I can't believe im looking for coupons every time the mail comes and picking up circulars are the stores.

It's a dark day when we have to defend the sovereignty of our country saying we should leave our borders open. I'm a third generation American on my mothers side, and a second generation American on my fathers side. They all came legally, fought in the wars that America took part in, and now are probably turning in their grave over the bullshit that's being promoted and allowed in our country. As a citizen I feel betrayed, I feel that I don't have a country anymore. Instead of " E Pluribus Unum " it should be " E Pluribus Anarchy ", because that's the way it's it's becoming, and IS!! Everybody against each other to get the upper hand and the power.
They should IMPEACH Spitzer, he was a weasel and will always will be. Just like ALL political leaders, they sell their own mothers for power and a vote.
